TWC TV Android app finally updated with live TV streaming

Time Warner Cable users who prefer Android to iOS can finally enjoy live TV streaming on their Ice Cream Sandwich-enabled tablets and phones. As we learned when it debuted, DRM requirements are making live TV streaming an Android 4.0-only (devices that have been rooted however, are not invited) affair, but at least it's here. Subscribers can snag TWC TV 2.0 from Google Play at the link below, although they are encouraged to try uninstalling if they experience any glitches after upgrading. There's a blog post linked below with more details, but we're pretty sure a TV screen you can take to the can with you explains itself.

  1. I am sure that it can be important to some people to take a television to the “can” with them, as long as they have a new Android device that has Ice Cream Sandwich in it. I’ve always been able to do some thing away from a television but I am sure some people might not be able to. My big thing about streaming services that only work in the house are the televisions that populate your house already, or can watching television on your phone really be better then on that large flat screen television? Working at DISH I have been around streaming for a couple years, I even bought a sling adapter so I can stream all my live channels and recorded shows to my Android no matter where I am. I also found out after I upgraded to my Hopper DVR that I can also access the Primetime Anytime feature that records all the primetime shows from the big four networks, and I have access to it for 8 days after airing.
